About the MACF:

Formed in 1997, the Monroe Area Community Foundation is a nonprofit, 501 (c) 3 charitable organization.  Our mission is to to seek and receive donations; invest for growth; and make charitable and civic contributions to enhance the welfare of individuals and groups in the Monroe area.

We do this by continuing to increase endowed assets.  Currently, the Foundation holds $175,000 in managed funds. We strive to be more purposeful and effective in our grant making to meet our community needs.  In fact, MACF funds have returned $16,364.98 since the inception of the Foundation in 1997. Grant awards this year are nearly $2000 and scholarship awards to our local students totaled $4250.

The Monroe Area Community Foundation is one of six community foundations in Butler County.  We work hard to increase our commitment to the Monroe area.  We have enjoyed consistent growth in community participation through memberships, scholarships, and other funds.

Scholarship Funds may be established as a memorial or to honor a person or event and utilize trusts, designated contributions and memorial gifts to build individual funds that provide financial aid to qualifying graduating seniors of Monroe Local Schools.
