The Monroe Area Community Foundation announced the appointment of a new executive director during its quarterly meeting. 

John Singleton, the previous athletic director at Monroe Local Schools, was unanimously selected by the MACF's Board of Trustees on July 22.  Mr. Singleton is also a graduate of and former teacher and football coach at Lemon Monroe High School.  The past executive director, Ron Tubbs, added that John brings with him years of  leadership experience and knowledge of the history of Monroe.  "He will certainly be an asset to our organization.  We welcome him as a member of the Foundation," added Trustee Elbert Tannreuther.
