CITY OF MONROE LIGHTS UP THE SKY
MONROE, OH, JUNE 16, 2010: Monroe’s “Light Up the Sky” Fourth of July Festival will end in a bang with fireworks displays on July 4th at Monroe Community Park. Fireworks will begin at dark, with gates opening at 3:00 on Sunday. Events are planned for the whole day, including a parade, rides and games for the kids. The schedule for the 4th of July events and games is listed below.

7:30 Live Music By “The Rick House Band”
9:30 Light Up The Sky!
Free music entertainment will be headlined by “Rick House Band”. Rick won the “Cammy Award” presented by the Cincinnati Enquirer twice. In both 1999 and 2000, Rick won “BEST ROCK INSTRUMENTALIST in Cincinnati” for his work on the guitar. “Balderdash” formed in 1966 have opened for Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Frank Zappa, The Allman Brothers, Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent, Traffic, Grand Funk Railroad and many more. “This Just In” a high energy young band has a sound sure to please the teens in the crowd. Multiple food vendors will be in on hand, allowing attendees a wide selection of food.
