Assorted themed baskets assembled by school employees will be raffled at the February 18 basketball games against Franklin.   Ranging in value from $60 to $400, tickets are now on sale at all home games and are available for view in the trophy case.  Cost is one for $1 and six for $5.  Proceeds go to the Monroe Area Community Foundation to help provide grants and scholarships to local students, groups, and businesses.  

The baskets and their contents are as follows:

1.  MOVIE NIGHT--Donated by Administrative Offices; DVDs:  Marley and Me, Mall Cop, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Shark Tales, Santa Clause 1 and 2, popcorn and holders, assorted movie candy.
2.  GO, EAT, PLAY--Donated by Monroe Elementary;  The Web Laser Tag $50, Regal Cinemas gift card $25, Bruno's Pizza gift card $25, El Rancho Grande gift card $30, Red Onion gift card $35, Rave Theatre gift card $45, The Pagoda gift card for cut and style and 50 hair products, AG hair products, shampoo and conditioner spicy gel hair spray, Meijer gift card $25, Wonka Exceptional Candy $35, UFCW 75 two coffee travel mugs and blanket and grocery bags, 7 Hills Union-made coffee 11 lbs., games:  Sorry, Clue, Upwards, and Yahtzee.
3.  LIFE IS A BEAN--Donated by Monroe High School;  4 (25) Starbucks gift cards, 1 bag Kona coffee, 4 bags of various Starbucks coffee, 3 small bags Millstone coffee, 1 bag of Dunkin Donuts coffee, 3 boxes of various teas, 1 box of peppermint chocolate sticks, 1 travel mug, 1 coffee decanter and other items.
4.  MONROE SPIRIT WEAR--Donated by Monroe Athletic Boosters and Department; 4 athletic passes, 1 weatherproof pullover (size 3X), 1 weatherproof pullover (size L), 1 furlined hooded jacket (size S), 1 youth sweatshirt (size M), 1 youth tee shirt (size M), 6 stickets, 6 bracelets, 6 pins, 2 backbacks.
5.  TEAMS--Donated by Monroe Junior High; 3 Monroe football shirts, 2 Monroe baseball shirts, 2 Bengals Lil teammates figures, 1 Bengals yo yo, 1 Bengals flag, 1 Bengals bucket, Bengals drink holder, Bengals football, Bengals headband, 1 Bengals window decal, 1 Ohio State cooler, 1 Big Red Machine bobblehead.
6.  WINTER FUN BASKET--Donated by Monroe Primary School; 4 passes to Great Wolf Water Park, 2 Helzberg Jewelers pearl bracelets and pearl earring set, $25 gift certificates to Gold Star, hand-made scarf and matching earrings, furry white blanket, Ice is Nice book, Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium and Peter Pan DVDs, "Let It Snow" candle, saucer sled, snow traceball, snow fort maker, heavy-duty thermos with Swiss Miss hot chocolate, winter picture in frame, Mary Kay satin hand lotion, Lindor truffles, Scrabble Slam game, 2 packs hand warmers, Blistex lip moisturizer, Ice Cubes gum, Snow Man and ice scrapper.
