Big Night Out
On Friday, Feb. 18, the Monroe Hornets play the Franklin High School Wildcats, the Ohio State Buckeye Football Helmet winner is drawn, and the Monroe Area Community Foundation raffles six baskets while serving a Lasagna Dinner from 4:30-7:00. Menu is meat or vegetable lasagna, with salad and breadstick, drink and dessert. Preceding the varsity game is senior night for all of the winter sports participants. There certainly is plenty to do, so you might have to sit down and make out a schedule to catch it all.
Remember, it all starts at 4:30, with the freshman basketball team taking on the Wildcats. If you're watching that game, then go to the Lasagna Dinner after purchasing another set of raffle tickets on your way to the cafeteria.
Attending the Junior Varsity game? You can eat and buy either before or after the game. Of course, come early to the varsity game to eat, drink, buy and be setting in the bleachers ready for the pregame introduction of the Hornet Seniors, some playing for their last time in the HORNET GYMNASIUM.
And you get to hear one of the best Basketball Announcers in the Area (that would be me).
You’ve got a week to plan and make arrangements. Everyone should be there, and we always run into someone we haven’t seen for awhile. So, I’ll just finish by saying: BE THERE!!!!
For more info contact Gina at 513-623-0874.
(All monies collected from raffles and dinners go to provide scholarships and grants for Monroe students and the Community of Monroe)
